So some of the girls I teach have an obsession with hippos, getting the word Nilpferd into almost every piece of work, whether it’s relevant or not. So I made them a hippo as a class mascot. And named it Regenbogen as it’s another of their favourite German words.

Did you have a problem with your hippos nose the pattern finished on an 18 stitch round which is a huge hole and I’m not sure how best to close it!
